Now IRL Connect is accessible from your mobile device. Take your friends with you wherever you go. Visit m.irlconnect.com in your mobile Web browser and off you go. The application is currently optimized for the iPhone’s browser and support for more phones is coming.

IRL Connect Features: A Personal Map For Everyone

We are determined to make IRL Connect as open and personal as possible. Recently we launched our API with which we opened up our system and now we give everyone their own URL to make it more personal. Just try it yourself, use your username.irlconnect.com and there is your personal map. You can send that link to everyone you know and they will see your IRL Connect friends, your Facebook friends, your Twitter friends and your photos and videos on the map.

IRL’s Frank Schuil Speaker at Telematics Update

On Wednesday June 10th at 17:00 our CEO Frank Schuil will be talking about the future of LBS during the Navigation & LBS conference at the Amsterdam Marriott.

In his presentation Looking towards the Web and Location based services moving forward he will focus on the importance of seeing the mobile as an extension of the Web and vice versa and elaborate on the emerging markets that will have an impact on how they evolve.

IRL Goes onto the Next Round

Last week in Ghent at the Benelux Venture 50 we presented IRL Connect to a jury of VCs from around Europe. We are proud to report that we were one of ten selected as one of the most promising start ups out of 50 companies. This means we move onto the next round held at the Eurecan European Venture Contest in October in Barcelona.
